‘Nothing’ white in white, 2008
What is left to tell when the essential has been told? It took almost two years to weave 12 square meters; 40 years of life. “Five Singular Suites” was the title of my woven history – complemented by poems. I enjoyed the silence. “When the time is right, new inspiring ideas will arrive…”. No visions, no messages, no story of life and death. Soul panicking; head testy and terror-struck. Until the day I had to accept that the white nothingness was what was on my mind. The question I asked myself was: What the heck is nothingness? White. Subtle. Delicate. Scanty. Clean, cleansed. Silent. Lonely. Fluttering. Filled. Dense and light. Joyful, quiet. The minimal white.
